Rock Characteristic Lab

Now that we've discussed the different types of rocks, which type is most interesting to you and why? Share which rock was the weirdest, sharpest, smoothest, shiniest, etc that you had in your lab group.

Here's to another great week of Earth Science,
Mrs. Ramos :)

number 21 was probably the most interesting in our group...we tested about eight rocks and it was the only one that showed bubbles when we put vinegar on it.

The type of rock that was most interesting to me was the metamorphic rocks since most of them are sharper, smoother, and shinier than the sedimentary or igneous rocks. In my group's lab, I think it was rock sample #19 I found most eye catching.

The most interesting one in my group was #10 because it was really heavy, shiny, and sharp. It weighed a lot for a rock and the black metal color gave it an eye catching characteristic.I am not a rock man but its really cool!
