As we approach for landing the end of our school year together, I just wanted to say this will probably be the best week in science. I know I know... testing weeks was awesome and will be hard to beat BUT making your planes this week will be better, I promise!!
Monday almost everyone will get their kit. People who might have to wait are those who I don't trust and they must prove to me that they will be MATURE and LISTEN to directions. We will begin sanding, sanding and more sanding. Then Tuesday will be all about gluing. Wednesday we will color and decorate and Thursday we will finish up any last minute gluing and designing. We might be able to fly some Thursday.
Remember you will earning 25 pts a day as we assemble our models. It is gonna be great!!

The angle of attack causes the airfoil to catch more air and it is pointed towards where you want to get lift, the AOA brings Bernoulli's principle when there is faster moving air over the airfoil with no pressure and slower moving wind under the airfoil with pressure causes LIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The angle of attack and Bernoulli's principle are so important to flight because they cause lift. When the air moves over the top of an airplane wing faster than the air underneath the wing, a pressure difference is created. When this happens the wing is lifted and the airplane is able to fly.
The angle of attack is important because it is necessary for lift. this is caused by a unbalance of air moving over and under the wing. the air moving over the wing has to travel more distance than the air that goes under the wing! and thats how you get lift! =]
